Ruskin College Oxford offers an Access to HE Diploma in Social Science, which is a one-year program designed for individuals who want to pursue a degree in social science or related subjects but do not have the necessary qualifications to enter university.The program covers a range of topics related to social science, such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, social policy, and research methods. The program also provides opportunities for students to develop essential skills such as academic writing, critical thinking, and research. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have the necessary qualifications to progress to higher education programs in social science or related subjects, including psychology, sociology, criminology, social policy, and international development.

Entry requirements Qualifications No specific qualifications are required to apply for this course. However, a GCSE in English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications such as Functional Skills would be beneficial. Equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.Applicants are advised to contact the universities to which they plan to apply, to check their Level 2 Maths and English criteria. If you do not hold Level 2 qualifications, please contact us to discuss your options. You will be asked to attend an interview and to complete a Maths and English assessment as part of the application process. AgeYou must be age 19 or over by September of the year in which you start the course.Â
