Ruskin College Oxford offers an Access to HE Diploma in Nursing, which is a one-year program designed for individuals who want to pursue a career in nursing but do not have the necessary qualifications to enter a nursing degree program.The program covers a range of topics related to nursing, such as anatomy and physiology, health promotion, nursing ethics and law, psychology, and research methods. The program also provides opportunities for students to develop essential skills such as academic writing, critical thinking, and research. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have the necessary qualifications to progress to a nursing degree program, which may include a Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing.Â
Career Pathways
Successful completion of this course provides a route back into education and will prepare you to study at degree level in a range of healthcare professions including nursing, midwifery, public health, occupational therapy, paramedic science, psychology and social work.

Entry requirements Qualifications No specific qualifications are required to apply for this course. However, a GCSE in English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications such as Functional Skills would be beneficial. Equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.Applicants are advised to contact the universities to which they plan to apply, to check their Level 2 Maths and English criteria. If you do not hold Level 2 qualifications, please contact us to discuss your options. You will be asked to attend an interview and to complete a Maths and English assessment as part of the application process.
